Hanover Press Sales Director

Purpose of the Job: Hanover Press needs a person committed to diligent networking and relationship building to create a wide network of distribution to aid in financial stability, author attraction, and readership.

Key Qualifications:

  • Academic or pastoral experience
  • Substantial agreement with what is held in common by the Second London Confession of Faith, the Orthodox Creed (1679), the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Three Forms of Unity, and the Anglican Formularies
 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Distribution Management
    • Maintain a list of all institutional distribution channels (churches, universities, seminaries, libraries, professors, bookstores, etc.).
    • Build relationships with all institutional distribution channels.
    • Oversee subscriptions to the journal and library subscriptions to our books.
    • Assist with marketing forthcoming and new release books to various institutional channels.
  • Commercialization at events

Online Managing Editor

Purpose of the Job: The London Lyceum is seeking an online managing editor committed to overseeing digital content that encourages serious thinking. 

The online managing editor will fulfill two key roles: (1) strategic and (2) administrative. As a strategic leader for the website, the managing editor will plan and coordinate essays and reviews for the website with a goal to have at least two posts per month and at least two series of 3-4 essays per year. As an administrative role, the managing editor will manage deadlines for online essays, communicate with potential and current authors, and ensure timely editorial review by the editors at the London Lyceum. The managing editor will also typeset, proof, review SEO, and publish online essays.

  • Academic or pastoral experience
  • Substantial agreement with what is held in common by the Second London Confession of Faith, the Orthodox Creed (1679), the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Three Forms of Unity, and the Anglican Formularies
 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight of future online essay content (whether disputation series or otherwise)
  • Manage online essay and book review deadlines between editors and authors via email
  • Obtain additional information from authors as needed (biographies, headshots, etc.)
  • Proofread and typeset all online essays and book reviews
  • Publish all online essays and book reviews on scheduled date
  • Review SEO rankings to ensure posts are aligned for highest impact
